Transitional Fall Outfit

I was hoping for some true fall weather this past weekend but alas, it still feels like summer outside. Although I have a weekend getaway (this upcoming weekend) and am hopeful for sun, I was hoping for some breezes this past weekend. Joe and I went to the Winchester Mystery House in Northern California. It is the perfect place to go before Halloween. I went with a transitional outfit, as it was too warm to bundle up. 

Darker, solid colors scream fall to me. Although I wore darker colors, I used pieces that were lightweight and would accommodate the heat. I love pairing a high waisted skirt with a basic tee for an effortless but chic look. 

Oversized watches are a year-round staple for me. Whether I’m going into the office or out to dinner, I almost always wear an oversized watch. This particular watch happens to be one of my all time favorites. My ring is a gift from my parents that I received for graduating middle school (throwback much?). 

Flats are often my footwear of choice. It is essential to have a pair of brown flats in your shoe collection (in my opinion). They are comfortable enough to walk around all day but still look trendy. These Target flats are ancient and definitely need to be replaced after being worn so frequently. I have enjoyed them immensely because they haven’t given me a single blister, which was an issue with every other pair I’ve purchased. Comfortable flat recommendations are welcome!

This necklace is my current favorite. I am obsessed with this honeycomb pattern and the delicate nature of the pendant. I bought this necklace recently from the Treasure Island Flea Market in San Francisco. This is an incredible flea market, filled with vendors and food trucks, that is held once a month (the last weekend of the month). If you’re ever in the area, I recommend going.
