I am all about the basics when it comes to my wardrobe. My favorite pieces to wear are often the simplest ones. When it comes to basics, I am selective with the pieces I spend more on. You can find so many great sale and discounted items that you should only invest in certain clothing. Basic long sleeve shirts are fall in the category of things I don’t like to spend a lot on.
Over the past year or so, I have fallen in love with the selection at Target. Their house brands frequently go on sale and if you use the Cartwheel app, you can find even more deals. The other day I popped into a Target to purchase a few items. Of course I came home with more than I really needed but these shirts were calling my name at their ridiculously low price.
I chose this periwinkle henley from Mossimo because I knew it would be a perfect lightweight shirt in the spring and summer. Although I work in an office (half the week), we dress very casually. I can throw on a long sleeve, jeans and flats and be office-appropriate.
The other two shirts are from another Target house brand: Merona. These were such a steal at $6.72 each. They were marked as being on clearance for $8.40 BUT I whipped out my Cartwheel app and scanned the barcode (such a cool feature!) only to discover that all apparel was 20% off. The Henley was originally $14.99 and was marked down to $11.99. I would assume this sale lasts through the week, although I’m not entirely sure. I highly suggest you dash over to Target!
