With my daily commute on the subway, I’ve started picking up my iPad Mini to read more and more frequently. To combat the stress of crowded trains, I reach for fun books. I am in the midst of Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny. This book was written by Holly Madison. Not only was she was long time girlfriend of Hugh Hefner and a star on Girl Next Door but she was also incredibly successful in Las Vegas after leaving Los Angeles.
Holly shares her experience living in the Playboy Mansion with Hugh Hefner and the other women. This book gives us an inside scoop into the lives of the women in the mansion and everything they went through. The mansion seems to be almost like high school with the cattiness and obsession with physical appearance. Holly delves into the intimate details from sex to drugs; she doesn’t leave anything out. This is a fun read for anyone who watched GND on E! nearly a decade ago. Obviously things were portrayed a little differently on the show and through social media. I recommend this book to anyone who is curious about the scandalous details of mansion life.
Personally I am not a fan of Hugh Hefner and see him as a womanizer so this book did not shock me. If you are under the age of 18, I wouldn’t recommend this book, as it is for a mature audience.
Have you read Down The Rabbit Hole? What are your thoughts?
