Yesterday I attended the Simply Stylist New York Conference. This was my first blogging conference ever. I was thrilled to by invited by ShopStyle Collective [thanks guys!]. I only went for the afternoon portion, which included the brand experience & breakout sessions.
There were delightful treats & drinks available. I enjoyed a grapefruit cocktail and a cake pop!
One of the highlights of the brand experience was: The Glam App. This is essentially Uber for makeup artists & manicurists. They offered us manicures and makeup & hair touch-ups. I really enjoyed getting my fall appropriate manicure and my hair curled.

I attended two of the breakout sessions. The first was led by Madison Guest [she is Victoria Justice’s stylist]. She spoke about celebrity styling & was incredibly inspiring.
The second breakout session I attended was How To Turn Your Website Into A Thriving Business. I was really excited for this session as my ultimate goal is to turn my YouTube channel & blog into my own little business. The speakers gave advice about gearing your content and social media around your audience.
I really enjoyed meeting some great people & learning from this event! Big thanks to ShopStyle Collective for bringing me.
