Yesterday the fiancé and I brunched at Park Avenue Autumn for the first time. It was delightful. This restaurant changes based on the season [decor and menu]. For brunch they offer a prix fixe menu with a pastry, appetizer and main. We also went for the ‘build your own bellini’–I chose spiced blackberry and Joe chose honeyed apple.
The pastry option was warm cinnamon monkey rolls, which were essential cinnamon buns. We were given cream cheese frosting and rum raisins to accompany the rolls.
For the appetizers, I opted for the roasted fig crepes with mascarpone & five spices. The crepes had so much flavor with the spice component! Finally for my main, I chose the cinnamon apple french toast. It was incredible! The apples seemed to be baked in the bread. The french toast with topped with cloves, cinnamon, and maple syrup.
Our meal was wonderful as was our overall service. I highly recommend this restaurant!
