On Saturday, we experienced our first blizzard in New York City (snow storm Jonas). We spent [almost] the entire day in our apartment aside from a trip outside to [briefly] see the snow [as demonstrated by the photo above]. It was such a crazy experience for me. I’ve been living in New York City for nearly six months and suddenly everything is covered in snow, no one was outside and everything was silent. It was a different world.
Yesterday we ventured over to Central Park. The snow was no longer falling and everyone was enjoying the park.
We wondered through the park–we watched children sledding, saw cross country skiers and had a little snowball fight.
We saw the frozen boat pond, near the Alice in Wonderland statue. This was so different from seeing it in the summer or fall.
Joe had a great time in the snow. For once the snow came to him and he didn’t have to travel to it!
I hope that everyone on the East Coast is staying safe & warm.
How was your weekend?
