Recently I’ve had to stick to a strict budget [hello grad school, wedding, and rent in NYC]. I am all about quality over quantity but that isn’t always an option. Since my wardrobe has changed in the past year [New York weather is a little different from California weather], I’ve purchased more sweaters.
I don’t have unlimited funds to spend on clothing [especially the longer I’ve lived here]. Aside from thrift shops, I tend to buy my causal fall sweaters from Target, Old Navy and H&M.
I’ve created a shopping list of my favorite affordable sweater options–one of them I even own in two clothes and have owned for over three years [go H&M]!
Also make sure to check for coupons. I’ve linked where I find coupons for Old Navy, Target, and H&M. Their deals tend to change up all the time but those links are updated regularly. Another trick is to sign up for email lists–they tend to offer promotions when you sign up on their website [i.e. sign up for the H&M newsletter and get 20% off one item + free shipping!]. Finally I know I recommend this a lot but it’s such a cool service: Ebates. You get cash back on online purchases. I’ve been using it for over an year and have gotten almost $250 cash back–which is incredible! You can even set up a button [for Google Chrome users] so you don’t forget to activate cash back and they even apply coupons for you.
You can also click below to set up your Ebates account:
I hope this is helpful to all of my gals on a budget!
Happy Shopping!
