I’ve been through a lot of chapters with my wardrobe. As a teenager, I bought trendy, cheaper pieces. I didn’t care if they lasted – they wouldn’t be in style very long. In college, I shuffled between workout clothes, sundresses, and “going out” outfits. My body has changed a lot throughout my life, like most people. I never felt the need to buy investment pieces. What if they didn’t fit six months from now? What if my style changed? I’ve realized that I don’t just want clothes that fit and look decent – I want a pieces I’m excited to wear. I’m ready for a wardrobe makeover!

Recently I’ve started prioritizing higher quality goods. I’ve slowly been purchasing some investment pieces and want to makeover my entire wardrobe. Obviously this won’t be a quick project [I don’t have the funds for that!]. I want to go by category over time. I’ve already been purchasing higher quality handbags and shoes [I posted my Louis Vuitton Neverfull unboxing in 2018]. I have an abundance of clothes – sadly I don’t love (or sometimes even like) a lot of them. My goal is to create a wardrobe I love with pieces that all get lots of wear.

I’m going to start by taking inventory of everything I own. I want to create Pinterest boards for inspiration. I’ll donate or purge items that don’t bring me joy (hello Marie Kondo!). From here, I can take a look at the gaps and start shopping. I plan to share what I find and what I buy. I’ll share everything, which will all be size inclusive. I’m really excited to create a wardrobe I love! I’ll definitely share outfits on Instagram and link everything on the blog. Life is too short to wear bras that dig in, sweaters that itch, or shoes that cause blisters.
