Now that I’ve gotten my vaccine and the weather is getting warmer, I’m getting so excited for summer! This summer will be 1000% better than last year! I can’t wait to put together my summer bucket list.
SUMMER BUCKET LIST 2021
- Pick berries: This is a tradition for us – Joe and I have been going since before we were married. I also used to berry pick with my parents almost every summer growing up. We’ve already gone strawberry picking at George’s Farm but it was a little early in the season. Last summer we had good luck with olallieberries at R&R Farms in Pescadero. If you want a Bay Area u pick guide, let me know. I’d be happy to share all the places I’ve visited.
- Have a beach day: I mean I plan to have many beach days but let’s start with one solid beach day. I like to grab sandwiches and cold drinks. Joe’s parents got us beach chairs that we can’t wait to use.
- BBQ: I love grilling in the summer. Burgers, corn on the cob, fish tacos – infinite possibilities.
- Make homemade ice cream: My parents got us this ice cream maker a couple years ago and it couldn’t be easier to use. We really like these ice cream starters. Also, we love this lemon curd ice cream recipe from my future cousin-in-law (is that a thing?!).
- Have a picnic at the rose garden: I’m all about a good summer picnic. For the past few years, Joe and I have visited the San Jose Rose Garden. It’s a beautiful spot to visit in May or June. Grab a blanket, pick up sandwiches, and enjoy a leisurely afternoon in the rose garden.
- Visit Maui: Maybe this is cheating because we already booked a trip but I had to include it. I can’t wait to share all my recommendations when we get back š
- Make fresh lemonade: who doesn’t want fresh lemonade?!
- Wine taste in Napa: One of the best parts of living in Northern California is being able to wine taste in Napa. Check out all my favorite wineries here.
