Last weekend I visited the Period Project pop up shop, hosted by U by Kotex. I found this event through Facebook & decided to stop by on Sunday. The concept came from two gals on Tumblr and became a reality on 5th Avenue in New York City.

The first level of the shop featured free nail art [I got the tampon nail art!], photo booths, and merchandise [all proceeds went to a women’s shelter that helped homeless women transition into housing]. The second level offered free five minute massages, free ice cream, and a lounge [complete with phone charging stations and comfy couches].

Periods are a part of every woman’s life and should be talked about more! I was thoroughly impressed with this event & hope they offer it again!
