We’ve officially made it to fall. Now the weather just needs to cooperate. The high was 93F today. Yikes. In true Mollie fashion, I’m still doing all the fall things: visiting pumpkin patches, picking apples, watching Halloween movies, and doing some fall baking. One of my favorite things about the changing season is switching up my closet. I have several fall wardrobe essentials that I need to share with you along with how I take care of my clothes. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite fall pieces.
Favorite Retailers for Fall Fashion
Sweaters: Sweaters are, by far, my favorite fall clothing item. I have about a million and I never feel like I have enough. Target is a go to for just about every category. Old Navy also has some great options like this cozy cardigan and this oversized sweater.
Jeans: Jeans are a staple at any point in the year, even summer. My favorite easy outfit is a sweater and jeans. My favorite jeans are from Old Navy. The Rockstar style are the best (and great for apple shaped bodies!). Old Navy recently launched their bodequality campaign. This means they offer up to size 28 in store (size 30 online) and there is no price difference between straight and plus sizes.
Dresses: Big surprise: Target is one of my favorite places for dresses too.
Shoes: Nordstrom is my go to for good quality shoes. I’m eyeing these dark brown booties. I love an ankle boot in the fall months.
Accessories: Who else loves scarves this time of year? Scarves are one of my favorite fall (and winter) accessories. This plaid one is perfect for a leaf peeping day.
How To Care For Your Clothes

Your wardrobe is nothing without proper care. I use Dryel to take care of my special, delicate pieces. Dryel allows you to safely and thoroughly clean your clothing at home. With Dryel, there is no need to worry about stretching, shrinking or fading. The Dryel at-home dry cleaner starter kit comes with a Fabric Protection Bag, which protects clothes and concentrates the cleaning vapor from the cleaning cloth for peak cleaning performance. As Dryel states on their website: “The heat of your dryer activates the cleaning solution in the Dryer Activated cleaning cloth to release a steam that penetrates and cleans the clothes. These vapors remove body soil and odors from your clothes that are then vented out of the dryer.“
The Fabric Protection Bag, cleaning chemicals, and the heat of your dryer work together to safely and effectively clean your clothes without shrinking. Dryel is even safe for materials like wool and cashmere. Aside from being effective, Dryel is also affordable, easy to use, and takes as little as 15 minutes. I know we could all use a little time back. Try out Dryel for yourself.
