Fall is coming to a close and it makes me want to get in the kitchen. I love baking, especially in the colder months. Every year I like to try out new recipes. I’ve rounded up a few new to me fall recipes. These recipes are all warm, cozy, and easy. I don’t like to make things too complicated! I hope this will give you some inspiration to go on a culinary adventure.
Delicious Fall Recipes To Try 2021
Chewy Brown Sugar Maple Cookies
We have to start with this amazing cookie recipe. This has everything I love: brown butter, maple, brown sugar and chocolate. Side note: if you haven’t tried brown butter in your cooking or baking, please correct that immediately. It adds so much dimension to whatever you’re making. It only takes a few extra minutes. Heat butter and wait until it starts to turn brown; it will have a nutty aroma. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool. This will give baked goods a caramel flavor. Aside from the brown butter, these cookies are wonderful. The dough also keeps well in the fridge if you want to bake them fresh whenever a craving hits.
Snickerdoodle Latte
When I first watched this fall coffee recipes video, I was immediately excited about the snickerdoodle latte. I’ve made it twice now and can confirm that this is the coziest warm fall drink. This is the kind of beverage you want to sip on by a fireplace while reading a book.
Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts
Brussel sprouts are a staple in the fall. I always have them on my Thanksgiving table. Maple syrup and bacon make for the best toppings. I love this sweet, smokey and savory dish. Maple cranberry Brussel sprouts is a great alternative for a vegetarian option.
Homemade Slow Cooker Maple Apple Butter
This year was my first time trying this classic fall recipe. The brown sugar maple cookies call for them so I decided to whip some up. There are so many uses for apple butter. You can put it on toast, stir some into oatmeal, use in baked goods, top pancakes or waffles, and baste chicken.
Pumpkin Pie
I’m excited to try out a new pumpkin pie recipe for Thanksgiving this year! Pumpkin pie is the quintessential autumn dessert. I never end up with a beautiful pie and this recipe has a great tip. Most homemade pies don’t have a glossy smooth surface. In order to achieve that, you need to get rid of the air bubbles. John uses a heat gun in his recipe but he says a hair dryer would work great. I’m looking forward to trying out this tip to see if I end up with a magazine worthy pie!
